What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels launched back in 2014, but in simply 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes, “silently reinventing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the essence of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for organisations and business owners to sell things online using otherwise complicated marketing technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a second).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his development, and for good reason. He’s succeeded, not just from ClickFunnels, however other marketing experiences. He played around with email marketing for a while, and ultimately started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the successful author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two books that his fans rave about and that guide people through his marketing methods. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets on Amazon here (with over 400 reviews) or totally free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets from Amazon here or free on his site here.

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team create funnels faster for different ventures, as developing funnels would generally take weeks. They quickly recognized their creation would be helpful to others and had great possible as a product.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who don’t know you and turns them into clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of actions designed to assist a website visitor to the checkout page.

Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Action 2: Imagine this funnel is in reality a metaphor, and rather of real active ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or site visitors.

Regrettably, that still does not turn much of your visitors into consumers. In a physical shop, that’s like people walking into your shop however not knowing where the sales register is, so they leave the store without purchasing anything. In a physical store, you can talk your consumers into purchasing something.

In a digital store, you may be a bit more distant from your visitors. This is where your funnel is available in– it’s developed to interest your consumers’ through concepts of psychology. The funnel works detailed, bring traffic in more detailed and closer until visitors wind up at a payment page.
If you think this sounds cool, you’re right– it’s become a big offer for internet marketing. Russell Brunson didn’t just get rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by utilizing it too.

Pros– ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some excellent news: ClickFunnels does its task!

ClickFunnels is planned to conserve you time and energy– to do what otherwise requires a lot of technological proficiency and/or a selection of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels is successful.

Makes You Money

Among the very best aspects of ClickFunnels is its concentrate on making money for the user. They make it really easy to make your account, put up your material, and begin taking payments. Plus, it’s quite simple to pick whatever up– it’ll most likely take you a couple hours to figure out the majority of what you need, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few functions are extremely useful here. I like how easy it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later on. Their page home builder is a quite crucial feature, and they’ve pulled it off well. Once you get utilized to it, it’s an easy to use drag and drop builder.

A/B testing

Integrated in A/B testing is great too. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your modifications, and select the quantities of your traffic you want to see version A or B.

Great choice of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations quite well. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t excessive of a sweat– they work reliably and are simple to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll likewise find a convenient WordPress plugin that lets you include ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a great deal of time and is much less of a trouble than working in between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also ranked a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.

All-in-one Solution

In general, it’s excellent to have things so centralized: I can develop my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and set off e-mails all from one platform.
All of this truly does conserve you time and money, resources you ‘d otherwise require to invest in developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Value

You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a good financial investment– what you’re enabled a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you have more than 20,000 visitors and require over 100 pages, the full suite may not be too much to ask.

ClickFunnels is not perfect, however it does a fantastic task of product packaging excellent tools together and making them accessible. It perhaps conserves most users a headache they ‘d have if they attempted to manage funnels another way.

Cons– Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some problem: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has numerous locations that require work.

Overpriced?

A small downside is the cost. There are just 2 pricing options, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand plan of things, this is not a big downside, just another investment in your company, and like I’ve stated, you get an excellent plan for it.

Uninspired Customer Service

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at finest. In my experience, they’ve been great with fundamental concerns, however if you ask them more difficult things, specifically about more advanced functions, they will not be really helpful.

Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder

This is not an objective criticism of their product but I take a small concern with their marketing that I think is worth pointing out in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get drawn into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to leave the buzz surrounding it. From a user experience point of view, it can get noticeable.

This suggests you’ll find yourself buying online courses, books, participating in seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels “Cult-ure”. ClickFunnels has assisted individuals do great things, however it’s likewise assisted multiply fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, and other spammy web marketer stuff.

We all understand the founder is a marketing wizard, however a lot of the product is tied to his brand name and his philosophy. As much as I appreciate the landing page contractor, whatever around it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

In some cases it’s tough to not get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than needed, especially when some aspects of their product (i.e., customer care) can still utilize some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more on the community. While you have the ability to customize extensively within ClickFunnels, many individuals use similar styles. Considering the appeal of ClickFunnels, this has caused a big amount of ClickFunnel-y looks drifting around. Diversity is necessary.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every once in a while, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t happen typically, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in marketing or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ problem brings your pages down for even a couple of hours, you can possibly lose a lot of cash.

It’s also difficult to know when your pages are working or not, unless you constantly inspect or wait until you hear from mad customers. Disallowing uptime, I also deal with some glitches when I clone pages using the HTML publishing choice.

User experience modifications … a lot

The dashboard modifications often, the circulation of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, prices alternatives change, etc– and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I like consistency in my software application, specifically if it’s a service service.

Way too Simple

A criticism I’ve heard but do not rather concur with personally: it’s too simple, and too costly for its simpleness. These criticisms tend to describe do-it-yourself methods which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing particular details. For less experienced users who are primarily looking for performance and an easy to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing – How much is Clickfunnels?

ClickFunnels has two pricing strategies– StartUp and ClickFunnels Platinum Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite– and even StartUp starts on the costlier side. If you pay every year instead of regular monthly, you get two months free ($ 997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).

A bit significant huh? Well, some would say so, and I can see why– especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. Nevertheless, it is essential to remember ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a respectable task. I personally consider it a good financial investment.

The main differences in between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of pages (100 ), gos to (20,000), custom-made domains (3 ), and just some of the complete list of features.

Nevertheless, both plans have endless contacts, limitless members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.

ClickFunnels Platinum/Full Suite has a complete list of features, consisting of the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack function that lets you define a product as a one-time payment product for your payment entrances); membership strategies (another Backpack feature, however unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients spend for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); endless funnels, pages, visits, and custom-made domains; concern support and design template demands; in addition to Follow-Up Funnels, FunnelFlix Training and Backpack.

If you’re confused with CLickFunnels Platinum/ Full Suite, don’t fret, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could actually clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of this ClickFunnels evaluation.

To summarize the distinctions, StartUp essentially carries the core function of ClickFunnels, which is called (you thought it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Complete Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with three other services– Follow-Up Funnels, FunnelFlix Training and Backpack– and also provides you the full set of ClickFunnels functions. You can view the full official list here.

Features Overview– Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features total? I think they’re solid and you get whatever you require.

A/B split screening is a smaller feature, however certainly a noteworthy one.

If you replicate a page and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially lets you pick what percentages of your traffic you want to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very smoothly. It’s a fantastic function and extremely easy to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is total versatile and simple for other settings, like your account information or combinations. Possibly really tech literate individuals would find them limiting (a typical style among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the standard functions were pretty good.

There are many kinds of readily available pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of companies, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.

Follow-Up Funnels and Backpack

I’ll simply take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is three items being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Follow-Up Funnels, and Backpack.
What is Follow-Up Funnels? Well, it’s what lots of would call an e-mail auto-responder or just an auto-responder, however it’s a bit more complicated. The main goal of Follow-Up Funnels is clever analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding includes snail mail along with e-mail, and a few other goodies. Together With Follow-Up Funnels comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool expected to make managing an affiliate program much easier and more efficient.

Are these functions, or different items? Follow-Up Funnels sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I’m simply negative. In any case, it makes Full Suite a bit complicated and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.

Clickfunnels Review– Page Builder

This is probably ClickFunnels’ main feature, so I wanted to dedicate special attention to it. In fact, I believe a big part of why I provided ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a truly solid landing page contractor. ClickFunnels ranges itself from page structure software and advertises its funnel method, however fact be told, I use it mostly for this landing page contractor.

Anyway, there is quite a selection of design templates with excellent styles, though as you may expect, just the design templates developed by ClickFunnels are complimentary. Design templates are organized by funnel type, so poking around isn’t too difficult.

You can also save certain templates and make individual page templates, and it’s quite easy to discover them. As you can see, you can toggle with fundamental settings and open in the editor.

As soon as you open your pages in the editor, you’ll basically be dealing with a drag and drop contractor. It’s a bit more complicated than some other light page contractors, however it’s still easy to use.

The editor utilizes a page structure with 4 primary parts: sections, rows, columns, and elements. You can have multiple areas per page. Components are the dynamic bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.

It may sound complicated, however it’s pretty easy to master. Whatever is color-coded– for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it’s an area, however if I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.
You can also modify by area, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. All the little information and parts of your page can be moved or altered.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it is– you have to work within those columns and rows. I personally don’t think this is a big concern and the contractor offers you enough control without compromising ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the page contractor a lot. It makes designing your landing page really simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money online.

ClickFunnels Integrations

Combinations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software application. There are a couple of different types of combinations you can include to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions.

ClickFunnels has several notable partners you can contribute to your combinations quickly. Here’s a complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s quite obvious, simply click the one you want and add it.

The process for managing integrations is also simple, though you may need to inspect your third party software’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels requires. Overall, you’ll discover the process quite simple. Combinations are a little bit more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page contractor, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple way of including and managing integrations.

Associated with integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software application platforms are simply called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They may likewise be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment entrances are also what they seem like: they’re the integrations that enable your consumers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment entrances you can include:

  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • NMI
  • Recurly

Managing all of these integrations is quite easy– as long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any issues adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally run smoothly and you do not need to stress much about them.

Ease of Use– ClickFunnels Review

If you have not picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of use– as their advertisement says, “Don’t waste anymore time with ‘tech people!'” As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the primary service ClickFunnels uses is offering tools that enable the less skilled to conserve time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of use is quite important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, however you ought to still have some experience.

Longer response: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming– and by first-timer, I suggest new to the world of e-commerce and marketing– but the finding out curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would state the knowing curve would be just a couple hours max. If you’re truly behind, get Russell Brunson’s books discussed previously in the review.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than producing funnels on your own. They have a fair quantity of paperwork, and it may not be ideal, but it appears to me like a lot of concerns need to be covered, and you can constantly call a customer support agent if it pertains to it.

All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels– the real funnels– are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel handling procedure, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor.

Some settings concerning email combinations or payment processors will require a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels– it’s stuff you can find out by Googling around or visiting the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is general streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, however it probably will not be enough to significantly obstruct you.

We provide it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with benefit, and while I would suggest all prospective users get in with some standard technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who actually stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that attract some companies more than others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional company, people exclusively in e-commerce or mlm, and even those providing B2B services would probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general succeeds with those using more imaginative products or independent endeavors. The pre-made funnels are extremely oriented towards these industries: for example, if you’re a flower shop, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a great way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to focus whatever around yourself and your brand name, there would be excellent support too. The very same chooses people offering material like courses or books.

Of course, you can constantly begin with a blank funnel, and I do not believe you need to choose if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based simply on their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller sized organisation, all right with the price tag, and you need to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you ‘d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a better landing page.

Client Support– ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ client support is an area that includes some nuances. I applaud ClickFunnels for having good documents on-site. I believe their documentation is just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but still adequate. Their docs page has a series of classifications, each with their own articles. It might be simple, however content-wise it’s not too shabby.

As for the direct customer service, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard after you log in, but I’m not too happy with it. They’ve generally been helpful for basic concerns and basic troubleshooting … however when I’ve had advanced questions, I’ve discovered them quite unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing concern, they took 3 months to get back to me. By then, I determined a workaround. A lot of users won’t need that type of assistance and to be truthful, most SaaS companies do not supply that level of assistance. I give ClickFunnels congratulations for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve seen a consistency among evaluations mentioning bad experiences with customer care. Significantly, in instances when functions have not worked as promised or when there were unusual website malfunctions, customer service representatives were allegedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, a few of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors got to members-only content. When he called customer service, he discovered they were apathetic and unhelpful. It might be a weird, unlikely circumstance, but it highlights the point.

Overall Support Rating

I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support– I think the group largely understand that their services are not completely easy to use and/or involve tools brand-new to their users, and they have put sufficient resources into their support to make it good. A minimum of standard concerns will be addressed, and they’re pretty responsive. Maybe most users, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has extraordinary customer support, but it primarily satisfies a bare minimum that makes it at least good enough. In this classification, we offer it a 3 out of 5 stars.

ClickFunnels Vs. Leadpages

Now, let’s take a look at how ClickFunnels and Leadpages matches up head to head.

There are a couple factors that I think the majority of people will take a look at … Price and ease of use.

When it comes to rate, Leadpages is the winner. It is a bit less expensive than Clickfunnels.

However, there’s a reason why Leadpages is so much more affordable. It’s not almost as robust as ClickFunnels.

ClickFunnels is a lot more convenient than Leadpages. You don’t require a different web host or a separate email marketing or a separate shopping cart solution. Remember from earlier, if you compute how much you ‘d pay for all of these tools separately, you ‘d really end up spending less by going with ClickFunnels.

If you look at it that way, ClickFunnels is quite affordable in its own right.

I do believe Leadpages is an awesome choice in some scenarios. If you want to crank out landing pages rapidly, without much modification, LeadPages is fantastic.

So, which should you pick?

Go with ClickFunnels if you wish to develop a series of reliable, conversion enhanced funnel pages without finding out HTML.

Opt for Leadpages if you’re searching for a spending plan marketing choice that gets the job done. Produce gorgeous sales pages without understanding a lick of code.

Choose ClickFunnels if you don’t wish to cobble together a billions different systems to develop a frankenstein marketing program. You’ll save a lot of time with an all-in-one option, since it’s very lengthy to run backward and forward in between programs, attempting to make them speak to each other.

Go with Leadpages if you just need to develop a simple one-step landing page.

Go with ClickFunnels if you wish to produce a real funnel with several pages, together with the flexibility to reorganize the pages in your funnel.

ClickFunnels vs Builderall

Builderall and Clickfunnels are different because they both provide different things or rather different amounts of things.

Builderall takes the method of offering as lots of digital marketing services as possible. For example, you can do anything from developing a marketing funnel to developing your own app.

Whereas Clickfunnels take a ‘less is more’ position. They offer a focused, detailed and effective marketing funnel and email marketing service.

One technical aspect they have in common is the drag and drop part for simple customisation.

We are going to talk you through the Builderall vs Clickfunnels dispute. Hopefully, by doing so, we can help you decide which software application would be better suited to your organisation.

One factor Builderall is great is it allows you to continue top of a large proportion of your digital marketing method … all in one location. You can build marketing funnels, develop blog sites, design and automate your email marketing and even produce apps.

Along with allowing you to develop auto-responses for your email projects, it provides Facebook combination. You can, for that reason, keep on top of your social media leads as well without needing to lift a finger.

Similar to Clickfunnels, Builderall uses an affiliate program for users. With it being mainly new, becoming an affiliate would be useful as all their money presently goes towards the program.

Clickfunnels do not require an extra cost to be an affiliate. If you are a paying member of their software then you immediately have access to their affiliate program.

General though, Builderall’s rates are really affordable. You basically get more digital marketing tools, for a lower expense.

Now we’ve talked through the Clickfunnels vs Builderall argument, let’s sum up which one you should go for. If you are a little independent business with a restricted budget and time to spare to cover your head around Builderall, then go for that one.

If you are a recognized or growing business looking to expand legitimately … Clickfunnels is the one for you. There must be an excellent reason why all the big names utilize the software and it is down to the large quality and results that Clickfunnels’ products bring. The fact that Builderall uses such a large quantity of features means they spread themselves thin.

Clickfunnels concentrate on a couple of elements and ensure they are used at a high requirement. So if marketing funnels are your focus, it goes without saying that you need to choose the software with the funnel feature being the main focus.

Ultimately, the decision as to which digital marketing funnel tool wins the Builderall vs Clickfunnels debate is all down to you. The nature and status of your business will all determine the best one for you.

Conclusion– ClickFunnels Review

What’s the overarching verdict? It’s excellent– 4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing software space and worth trying.

Yeah, there are a few downsides: If you need a more hands-on option to your marketing needs with greater personalization capabilities, you might want to look into 3rd party choices you can loop. If you are choosing ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up handling unhelpful customer support agents, or some glitches in the software application. You might also be frustrated by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Thinking about whatever, I don’t think any of these surpass the solid landing page contractor, not to mention other positives such as the short learning curve, strong combinations, and great design templates.

I’m pretty sure that for the vast bulk of potential users, the page home builder provides sufficient choice. If you’re looking initially and foremost for a simple however solid sales service or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a fantastic tool.
